Sergio Noe Ceramic Workshop

Thanks to everyone that joined us at Alto Gallery on Sunday, May 25 for the Ceramic Workshop with Sergio Noe Perez-Reyes. Participants learned from the artist himself how to create their own little head sculptures out of clay. Sergio had participants draw out their designs first, then demonstrated clay sculpting and glazing techniques he uses in his own artistic practice, and talked about kiln firing as well. Participants worked on their creations for three hours outside in the plaza in front of the gallery, enjoying a relaxed and supportive environment with food, drinks, and live DJ music. Finished sculptures will be fired by the artist at a later date. Sergio Noe Perez-Reyes's solo exhibition Puzzle Pieces is on view through May 31.
